FS: 06 American spec 330i for sale in Germany

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Ok, so my wife and i just got a new E92, so i am going to sell my E90. I am military and live in Kaiserslautern. I know this will be a narrow crowd, but i am trying to sell it on here, anyway. here are the specs

-Sparkling Graphite, Terra leather, aluminum trim, 20,500 miles
-6 spd MT
-Sport package
-Prem. package
-Heated seats
-Navigation (no DVD with sale)

First service has already been done. i took delivery of this car in July of 05. the winter wheels/tires on the car now will be included with the car, the asking price for the car is not affected by the winter tires. The winter tires are not run-flats, so you have to carry a spare in the trunk (they are "V" rated) There are a few scratches from normal driving everyday, and a scratch on a front wheel from a curb. Thre are some small dings from the seatbelt in the aluminum trim on the driver's side door. Never smoked in, always hand-washed and waxed. The car is also advertised with U.S. Military mart (KMC military will know what this is) My asking price is 34,800. If you are interested, let me know and make me an offer. thanks.

So how does this work? Can the car stay freely in Europe/Germany if
a non mil buys it or does it have to come back to the US?

To make a long story short, if a military member buys it, it will just be registered to him/her through the military registered drivers database, and be driven here freely with no added taxes. If a German would by the car, we would have to remove it from the military system, add it to the german system, and they would have to pay the taxes for the price of the vehicle. They could then drive it as a Euro registered vehicle. This is the easiest wah i can think to explain it. It does not have to come back directly to the states.

Can we find out how much the taxes are? I may be interested in buying your
car for the asking price, and keeping it in Europe (different country) depending
in the process/taxes that have to be paid in Germany. On which price of the
car are the taxes based on? Seller's asking price? Original buying price and then
pro-rated for the months that have gone by since the purchase of the car? I'd
appreciate it if without too much hassle, you can find out. Thanks.

Are you military?? i know german taxes this year went up to 19% sales tax. i am pretty sure it applies to cars, too. There is allot of customs paperwork and paying off my loan and title swaps and such, but i suppose it is possible. what country do you want to register it in? The taxes might be differant if you are a national of a differant country. As far for germany, they base the taxes on the selling price. I think all Euro countries also require insurance before you can get plates as well

Shadow,
Unless you are over here on orders you will not be able to buy it and leave. It has to be registered. If a German national buys the car it has to be changed to German specs which can cost.
This is going to be a hard sale unless someone stationed here can afford it. But at that price one can find a car of the show room floor.

The car doesn't have to be changed to German specs and it can have a
temp registration since the idea is to drive the car out of Germany to
another European country (I'm not a German national). I've done this
before with two MBs but it was quite a while ago. And I am interested in
the fact that the car is US spec and where I am taking it is fine. In a show
room in Germany you can't find a US spec car.

Do you know what it would entail shipping to England? I could check if my parents are interested.

i would say "driving" would be cheaper. i can reach the chunnel in about 4 hours. not sure on taxes and import fees. that is a whole other ball of wax. plus, it is american spec and not right hand drive.

Dang those pesky brits and their right hand drive. After 8 years living in the US, I'm starting to forget those little things about my home country...

Nevermind. Thanks for getting back to me.
