E92 335D Wanted To Buy

Hi All,

I am looking for a loaded 335D (or possibly 335i) and would be grateful if anyone looking to sell could let me know.

Ideally looking for a black or grey car with Pro Nav, bluetooth and Logic 7 etc although could be flexible on spec for the right car/deal. No beige or grey interiors though!

Budget wise I am probably looking at a 56 SE and have a bid on my car (Porsche 993) from a dealer and am looking to buy in the next few weeks. Work mileage is increasing so my beloved Porsche is destined for a new home and I need a reasonably sensible mile muncher.

Alternatively would consider a swap (cash either way) if anyone fancies a Polar Silver 1995 Porsche 993 Varioram 80,000 miles - 2 previous owners. I have owned the car for 7.5 years and 55,000 miles.

I am not a trader and am based in Herts although would be willing to travel (within reason!) for the right car.

Thanks.

Get in line

Not many for sale and I have been watching for about a month now. People must be holding onto them they are that good (I am only after a 335d).

Let me know how you get on.

I might let mine go for the right money. But every time I get in, I think after I can't bring myself to sell. 57 Plate, Dark Grey (forget what they call it), Lemon heated seats, Pro Sat Nav, remapped by Evolve, (just bought virtually new 225 19" alloys). 42K miles. Will be looking for £24K, no less so not SE money.

Currently being prepped. I've spent about 16 hours so far respraying hubs with silver Hammerite as per thread on this forum (having bonnet respray as a few stone chips) and boot and rear valance respray and new diffuser awaited.

(I'm very particular about finish.... when I bought it 5k miles ago had driver's seat re-upholstered and front valance re-sprayed).

I'm not sure whether I will sell yet, though got a job in very hilly rural location and now also have a Forester (talk about commedy handling and about 1/10 the BMs torque). I don't know whether I can justify this second weekend car thing, but I might take a little time out from detailing etc.

Might consider swapping for an Exige S2 S, though not sure whether I'd fit into one at 6ft5?

And that's the thing; there's nothing out there I would like to swap my car for ATM. I love it. It would have to be replaced by 2 cars, perhaps a Disco3/Cayman combo but no single car comes close IMO

I live in the UK but work in Prague so both car cars are in the uk.

Sorry I only have pics taken on a Iphone so not all that good. The graphite gray looks amazing in real life, I have not seen many on the road.

Still looking if anyone fancies a quick sale.

Thanks for the 335i offers - have decided diesel is the way to go, although I keep getting distracted by bargain price 645ci's - wonder if I could live with the running costs..............

I sold my Porsche last week and the hunt is on for a new car.

Ideally looking for an E92 - 335d preferred, although would consider a 335i, depending on the deal! Strangely I find myself also drawn to 135i's................

Budget dictates I am probably looking for a 2006 SE - please get in touch if you are considering selling..........

Not driven either to be honest.

Coming from a 993 I suspect I would prefer the i, however the additional economy (and torque) of the d is appealing. Am doing more miles these days although probably no more than 15,000 miles per annum.

I used to have a 535i (V8) E39 and loved the torque and relaxed drive so am hoping the d would be similar (obviously without the creamy V8 noise).

I'm not far from Evolve so it is likely whichever one I go for will be tweaked.....

I started out wanting a 335d and picked up my loaded 335i a few weeks ago.

I drove both and ended up changing my mind. I also reckoned that, basing me keeping it for 24months, and the fact that 35d`s are £2kish more than i`s, that £2k would buy a lot of petrol.

I am getting 27ish town/mixed driving and 36 sitting at 70ish on a cruise so not that bad on gas. I jumped from the 335i into the 3.0sd X5 the other day and couldnt believe how much smoother the petrol is

Oh, and the 335i isnt short on torque either - sounds like you really need to go testdriving...

Stock for stock.... = Performance.
Re-map for Re-map = Performance.

Start spending £££ on the ''i'' then it will be quicker.

For every day driving the 335d is sublime, so quick so easy. MUCH MORE torque than your old 535i.

335i sounds much nicer though!
