Please recommend speakers & Amp-E90
I'm not satisfied with the audio quality of my E90 330i. I'm not sure what model I have, but it comes with seperates in the front with small subs in the back.
I would love to replace the front seperates with something better quality, add full range speakers (replacing the small subs) in the back, and adding an 8" or 10" sub in the trunk. Of course new amps are a must. Question is what speakers or amps? BTW, I'm keeping my stock head unit. Thanks!! |

You're upset with the Logic7 system?? I think it sounds great. If there was a way I could retro-fit that in my car I would be thrilled and you wanna take yours out? IMO you're insane and wasting money.

i think the logic 7 is just a very average stereo, it does nothing well but its not weak in any area.
Try to fiddle with the EQ then think about adding a sub... otherwise its tons of work. fk |

You might want to check out bavsound.com (Bavarian Soundwerks). I got a sub package from them for my E46 and I'm very satisfied. Their customer service is top notch too - they could teach BMW dealers a thing or two about properly treating your customers....

My e90 has standard audio , not Logic 7.
The overall sound quality is crab. I been to several audio pro shops and got advice by some members who have done some sound enhancement. The conclusion is the head unit CD playback is satisfactory. Howver, you need to have a separate Amp for driving the subwoofers(iunder the seats) and also to replace the original Amp (for those models with an external Amp) to a better one. Above should be done before you are moving on to replace all the sepakers.

I was also disappointed with the original sound (HIFI Option). Having already an AMP in the car I decided first to change the speaker's. Speakers that could handle an AMP upgrade if still not good enough.
I did not find any good replacement (yet) for the under seat woofer but for the doors and back I went for the BOSTON. Today I'm very please with my new sound but I'm still considering the sub replacement. Sound volume is right for me, not considering any AMP upgrade for now. |

For your stock head unit, JL Audio has a device called Clean Sweep which converts your stock head unit to an aftermarket music system This is pretty much the set up I will do in the near future. I have 2 12w7 that I might sell but don't know yet cause i have 2 JL 500/1 amps and these amps don't give enough kick to the 12w7s so i will have to change the 12's to 10w7 to complete my setup. Hope this advice helps you. I recommend JL Audio because its the best out there

I would consider looking into getting a Reus System. I had them install their system in my 07 328i sedan and it sounds amazing. Now I had the Logic 7 in my car but it just didn't do it for me. Now I am person who wanted to keep the integrity of my car intact. That is why I went with Reus. Once I heard their test cars at the LA Auto Show I knew nothing was better then that. The system is complete stealth so no one will even know you have one but, they will know you did something once you turn your radio on
