Thanks for everybody's comments, the dash pic did use the flash hence the colour as i'm sure most of you know.

To everyone else who's posted new cars here, they all look great, I am already thinking forward to perhaps going for an E92 next.

This is my first beemer, and although I am still very much in the honeymoon period, I am staggered at the difference in the whole experience when compared to driving other more mainstream cars, including Audi.

For those of you who are this week collecting a bmw for the second or third time, this is of course no surprise, but to the newbies like me, I ask, is there anything else like it?

What we need is a meet in Mid Wales or Brecon. Any Takers?

Not bad for a 320d...You must be able to manage better
Even I can get 53.3 in my 325d

I know the feeling about getting a better camera too

Welshman, another corker

TSL, your car is so much nicer than that abomination on your avatar. Any chance of changing it to the AW E92? That Bentley offends me!! Not normally, just the Brooklands

Thx. First impressions are very favourable. I notice the extra noise from the run flats, but apart from that the ride is very good - I was worried it would be a bit harsher with the 19" rims.

Engine is very tight - 4 miles on the clock when I collected this afternoon and about 30 now - but I was well aware of the enormous grunt.

I've heard all these stories about the clutch mechanism and the potential need to change the CDV but so far so good. Maybe it's because I'm used to manuals.

Hopefully my wife will now buy me an iPod for my birthday so I can use the iPod interface I had specced as an option.

haha, a car like the Brooklands is a car that deserves respect!!
I was lucky enough to see one in real life, and it is EPIC! Somehow manages to be imposing, yet elegant... And the engine!!!? Dont even go there!

sorry didnt mean to sound like the brochure, but trust meh! Why do u find the brooklands offensive, but not other bentleys out of interest?

BTW, sexy car u have there Welshman!! Silver still manages to look insane!

Q: How did the leper fail his driving test?

A: He left his foot on the accelerator.

By the way.... nice cars folks. It's seems a distant memory now waiting on my new car this time last year.

Am I the only one a little disappointed Considering the number of cars that BMW must have registered on 1st March, I'm surprised at how few have been displayed on this forum. Please, let's see some more...........

Saddle Brown Dakota leather

Only 30 miles so far, but loving the noise and the performance

Another SG 335i M Sport manual - lovely motor Alex!

750 miles inand I am loving the new car. Truly awesome performance when you stick the foot down - and I have been pretty much sticking to the 4,500 RPM run-in

My 19" wheels do not like actual potholes but general lums and bumps in the road are fine really - not much different from my Golf GTi (which was on 17" wheels; non rft's obviously)

Congrats Alex - looks good. SG is definately popular with you guys, I nearly chose it TBH.

Wasn't mad keen on the saddle brown dakota leather when I first saw it, but it's growing on me.

Enjoy!!

Thanks for the compliments guys!

Snooky - good taste in cars you have The runflats seem ok to me so far, but then my last car was a Porsche 968 which was like having your arse dragged down the road on a shovel It's going to be hard sticking to 4500rpm for 1200 miles but with so much grunt on tap it shouldn't be too bad!

Helen - I took a bit of a flyer on Saddle Brown as I hadn't seen it in person. I was determined not to play it safe after several black interiors! I was so relieved today when I opened the door - the interior is pure class
