330D LCI (N57) EGR cleaning HELP!
Hi Guys
I did a search for this info but only brought up a couple of pictures of where the EGR is, but I already know that.... I'm throwing a couple of codes for my EGR sticking and staying in the wrong position. I'm no stranger to removing an EGR and giving it a good clean however, the EGR on the N57 has a cooler (is this liquid or air btw?!) and the 2 pipes attached making it rather difficult to remove. I managed to pull the valve out a couple of inches before the pipes are an issue. So, my question is: can I just disconnect the cooler pipes, unplug and remove to clean or are there any other methods to removing the EGR for cleaning? Any pointers would be appreciated. |

Liquid cooled. Sorry not to be of any help but I can tell you is that my local garage had to change the cooling fluid after cleaning the EGR valve.
