no hood up isn't very accurate is it? your running the car hard at a complete standstill - i thought the hood up was to compensate for the lack of wind.

you can also use really powerful fans to compensate. Hood up dynos are not accurate if you are trying to figure out the gains from an intake tho bc it doesn't show how well/poorly a heat shield works.

Then you are saying every car in United States market that dynoed are inaccurate.

Most dynos are designed to work this way. Get over it. Stop whining over hood up or down.

Sorry, didn't take a good look. I just clicked on a link for a 2006 325i Fujita dyno. Guess they just referenced a Dyno from an '03.

bmw somehow has to know how to keep the intake performance at premium, while keeping the noise level low.

Some Nissan/Hyundai cars gain lots hp from just an intake cause its so restrictive.
