UPDATE! Finally threw a code-Elec/ABS failure

Some of you may recall my previous post (and video) of my electrical failure warnings ard related speedo/tach needles going off/on repeatedly.

Subsequently I noted an ABS failure pop up on the I-Drive screen as well. However, these warnings always went away and never threw a SES notification or any codes.

Last night I saw the SES light pop up when the car was giving me the elec failure warnings. Checked the code this morning and it is U112b. Did some google searching and DSC failure may be culprit.

Also, i notice that when the card is left outside in cold the elec failure warnings are much more frequent vs when the car is warmer in the garage. Not sure if thats important.

Before i go down the path of trying to fix this either myself or thru mechanic does anyone have any input? I know the DSC modules are very pricey.

Thanks guys and happy new year

I received the trifecta (ABS, Brake, DSC lamps) and while I thought it was the DSC/ABS system failing, checked all the sensors and cleaned them from what I've read from other forum members (had a snow storm the night before) and then went for a car wash just to make sure and the lights went away.

I think you should check the sensors before getting the ABS/DSC module replaced because they are pricey.

The sporadic electrical problem sounds kinda like the fuse box issue. There are posts here about it.

Good luck, that's sounds frustrating

Ok so this is new.....

At lunch Today i started getting the elec failure warnings but theni saw a TRANSMISSION FAILURE notification on the Idrive. It said something About the gear selector. Only flashed for a second. It looked like a big yellow cog. Driving home tonight didnt get a single warning. Car running like a dream.

Car officially possessed

As he stated. When was the last time you changed your battery?
