Can i replace my stock 18" Wheel Style 162 with 19" wheel.

looking to go black Rims from current Style 162.

Do I need any spacers,
what spacers are used for ?

what extra work is needed to move from 18 to 19 for Wheels.??

Currently I have these Tires and they ready for a replacement. Continental Extreme DWS. Might go with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus.

Front: 225/40ZR18
Rear: 255/35ZR18

So If I go with 19" RIMS then my tires will need to be changed 19 too ?

Do i need to buy new TPMS too or the current ones can be moved to New setup

Spacers are used to push the wheel further away from the hub to achieve a more aggressive look.

You will need new tires with a 19" diameter and smaller sidewalls.

You can run a 19" wheel, although finding a Style 162 shouldn't be much of a problem; although it will be aftermarket and not factory.

You can maintain your old tpms..

I will go with some other Style black color Wheels not Style 162.

I might keep 162 with existing Tires or Sell them.
One option is to keep two set of wheels, one for Winter and one for Summer.

Yes, you will have to upgrade your tires as well. However you will have some flexibility with the width of the tires.

Your TPMS can usually be re-used. However, in some cases, there is oxidation or general degradation which means they will break when pulled out and cannot be re-used. It is a good idea to replace the TMPS valves when reusing them cause sometimes they leak air when reused. Valves are cheap -- like 5-10 bucks per TMPS.

Its a good idea to replace the TPMS together since TPMS normally last about 5 years.

I'm looking at doing a similar move as the OP. If the stock 162s are 18 x 8 and 18 x 18.5, do most people keep it staggered when going bigger? So is 19 x 8.5 and 19 x 9.5 the standard move? Just looking at all the available sizes is a bit mind boggling...

Yes 19 inch wheels will need 19 inch tires.
