Sad to admit but this is the sole reason I went to BMW. I had a beautiful G37s that I put a lot of work and heart into. One morning on the way to work I had my DTC (DSC for BMW) off and pushed through a yellow light making a left hand turn. Well the ground just happened to be wet there and my back end came out. So I feathered the throttle to bring her straight and as she came straight it snapped and made me overcorrect. Then my extremely lowered car went up an extremely high curb. Good bye frame.

I was over confident because I use to take special driving courses that I paid good money to learn to drift and maneuver a vehicle. But in the end I wasn't as good as I thought

SideNote:
SOOOOOOOOO happy I went 335i! JB4 + 335i =

Shit... I always turn of DSC and put the car in DS mode and rip it.... I thought the DSC hold ya back or something. What if i turn on DTC? I feel when i do that, the car becomes so heavy.

No but it makes your engine not stutter/kill power to keep traction.

It really only does that if you don't have a proper diff. Single most effective mod to a 335, 330 etc etc.

Nice OP. Humble ending as well. Enjoyed it.

As far as turning all nannies off, if your getting throttle closure while DTC is active and DSC limited then you need to keep practicing anyway. Unless of course you're drifting or purposely breaking traction.

Would a diff really help with a 330i automatic like mine? I always considered getting one...

Oh yes, it transforms the car. Have a chat to Birds Autos, they are based in Iver, UK, they do great BMW tuning and are huge advocates of the Quaife LSD.

They did a lot of work on my car before imported it here.

yeah I was actually thinking of getting my car serviced at Birds Autos next. I checked out their website and they sell the Quaife LSD for my 330i for £1250 including labour/fitting. The part alone is worth £850, so basically £500 for fitting!

Would Birds Auto discount the price?

For the most part I always roll with DSC/DTC OFF when on a spirited drive.
