pre-LCI => LCI conversion (HELP)
Does anyone know if it's possible to install the front LCI mtech on pre-LCI e90 without changing the hood?
any help appreciated: http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...8&d=1254688766

With enough money, you can always find a body shop to do all kinds of custom work. But my problem is you want to go that route???

i was gonna get a grill for LCI one so that it could fit on the LCI mtech bumper, then have some custom body work just for the hood to have the upper portion of the LCI grill custom fitted with the pre-LCI hood. sounds like a possible plan? wouldn't this be much cheaper than getting a LCI hood as well?

why dont u just buy the whole hood. i mean to get half a hood your going to need a whole hood anyway? plus you couldnt put them together since the contours are so different

Just get the LCI hood, it has better lines than the pre-LCI anyway.
If you do not want to do that, then just stick with pre-LCI mtech. Its looks better than LCI mtech IMO. If you wanted LCI--go performance front instead, with hood and grill.

I'm trying to do something similar. My neice rear-ended someone in my 2008 E92 pre-LCI and I need a headlight, grill, hood and bumper cover. I eventually want to get the BMW Power performance package. Can I get the 2009 hood, headlights, grill, and M-tech or performance bumper? Where can I find all this stuff? Where can I find pictures? Is the M-tech bumper cover compatible with the BMW performance package with no additional parts? Are the 2009 headlights plug and play with the 2009 wiring? Who can I talk to who has all this information?
Thanks, D
