Hey guys,

I'm having an issue with my master window switch on my 09 e90 lci. The window switch does not function or light up. I have tried using 2 other switches but neither of them have rectified the issue. I have also checked the fuses and replaced the frm. All the windows do still go up and down from the keyfob and their own individual switches but not from the master.

When I scan with Inpa it shoots out this code: FRM 9CBA 64. Googled it and found it means "Communication with LIN control defective". Unfortunately that's all I found.

Has anyone had this issue or something similar? Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated.

Any chance you could use ISTA? That would have the wiring diagrams as well as troubleshooting processes.

Here's a thread on this site from a couple of years ago that seems to discuss your same issue. May be some help there?
