Climate control fan button

Hey guys,
I have a weird problem and I’m wanting to take the car into the dealer just haven’t had the time.
The problem is that on a colder day when I try to turn down my fan the button doesn’t work. It acts like a spring broke to make the button move in and out. Only on the decrease side. The button will move in but wont spring back out if that makes any since.

Once the day/car warms up the button works like it should.

It is a very annoying problem and just seeing if anyone has a solution becuase it seem silly to take the car in for a button issue.

Thanks

Sounds like it is sticking. Get some electrical cleaner in a spray can and spray behind the button. Make sure the cleaner is safe for plastics.
