Bumper Repaint Cost
I swear my bumper is a rock magnet. The amount of paint chips on it makes it appear dirty.
Thinking about repainting it now. My car is jet black, which I know is a special mix. Does anyone know how much it will cost to repaint just the bumper? |

^ lol no..
depends where you go my buddy owns a collision shop and he normally charges me $150 to repaint any bumper or fender. he does an excellent job and gives his customers 5 year warranty the max that you should pay is $250-$300 anything over that is ripping you off, considering that your bumper doesn't need any repairs.

This is what I was quoted when I repainted both front and back bumpers because of imperfections. I offered to pay cash and they dropped it down to $375/bumper. I've done this many times before too, they always cut you a deal if you mention cash.

I second the 300-450 for front bumper repaint with no body work. Jet black is nice but does it get jacked by rock chips or what.

My shop quoted me $350-400. That's about the going rate around here for the higher-end shops. Mine is getting repainted for free now, though, as part of an insurance claim. I was days away from paying out of pocket to have the bumper resprayed and I'm glad I waited

How are you getting yours done as part of insurance claim? Did you have accident else where?

My rear bumper was repainted for about $450. It was covered under insurance. I bet the front will be in the same ballpark. This was in a speciality shop dealing with European makes only.

Quote:
500 hood 500 front bumper 500 rear bumper 500 rockers ----------- 2,000.00 add in the misc shit that I need done such as roof damage, quarter dings and some scratches on the trunk. 3k is a fair price IMO. especially for a high end shop. Also this is with me providing the replacement parts. Which I've acquired over time. Pretty much the whole car will be painted, only because if you do the hood you have to blend the fenders, if you do the rear bumper you have to blend the quarters so it pretty much is the whole car getting painted. |

Sometimes depending on how bad your bumper is, might as well replace it and get it repainted at the same time. Mine was abused from the previous owner, rips/tears, chips...headache. Even if they are to fix it, it won't be the same. Buying used, unfortunately as a beggar I can't choose, haha.
