took the twin turbo Prius in for a state inspection. was afraid I would have to pull off the 50% tint on the windshield.....paper says "front windshield 100% and side windows 41%" it passed

How the hell does that work? Do you have secret friends that can get you a pass rating? Maybe the efficiency of the Prius cancels out the windshield ruling...

My wife took the Prius to Just Emissions. She came home and said "I have good news and bad news. Bad news the Prius needs new tires, good news the tint stays on the windshield" We were getting ready to buy new tires already so no big deal there. I have no idea how they let the windshield pass.
