Euro Taillights Installed

First of all, a big thanks to Paul330d for working with me to get these euro tails here. Shipping ended up taking a bit longer than expected (roughly 6 weeks), but thats what I get for wanting these tails I guess...

Impressions: At first, I was a little wary about how the amber part of the housing looks when its not illuminated. Some pictures it looks very orangish, others it looks like it blends in more with the red. I am happy to report that it does look much closer to the red, but there is a noticeable difference...

The blinker is a stock match to the front and side marker bulbs!!! This was 99% of the reason why I was looking for these... Blinker is much more noticeable now that it is not the stock red color here in the US.

Time for some pics.

First - Closeup euro
Second - left euro/right US
Third - all euro, not flashing

I know I said no more mods, but I had already paid for these, and they were in transit...

Notice my 'modified' exhaust... new tips coming tomorrow...

it would have been cheaper if you got the amber led. but looks good. this would have been my choice too if it hadnt for blackline.

I think your taillights look very good (I'm not a fan of the blackline look).

I remember seeing a thread about the amber LED, but never saw anything definite about the size and a good source to purchase them. Last I saw, there was confusion over which size would fit the front vs. rear turning signals.

This is one of the few mods that I would consider for my car and the amber LED option does sound much simpler (and less expensive).

I didn't notice that I had euro spec taillight. lol
I thought U.S and euro have same taillight.
Thanks for the sharing the photo and you must be happy with it! Congrat!

From my opinion, I like U.S spec better

Thanks for sharing so that other can see and make decision on purchasing them. It does not seem that big of a visual change from the photo. Can't wait to see what you are doing with the tailpipe.

I am relieved they finally arrived and that you like the way they look. It's kind of weird sitting here at my desk in northern France looking at photos of the very same lights that were on my 330d before delivery at the dealer (I had them install BlackLines). Enjoy

Wait, I can't tell the difference? Just because of the blinker? you notice the most minute differences.

Can anybody tell me specifically what bulbs the rear turn signals are? Maybe even a good place to find those such bulbs too...
