do i need spacers?

hey guys quick question. getting 18" wheels for my e90 with wider rears, just wanted to check if i need spacers (hubcentric) to make the wheels flush with my arches

i didnt want to purchase them and later find out that they are rubbing etc...

the tyres would be 225 40 18 front

255 35 18 on rear

thanks

jay

you left out the most important part.. the offsets of the wheels

ALSO! spacers need to be BOTH hubcentric and wheel-centric
I believe this is the reason so many people have bad experiences with wheel spacers. You can't expect lugs or bolts to hold the weight of the car, which is why spacers need to have a lip that hooks onto the wheel.
This translates into you can not have spacers less than 12mm on e9x vehicles.

Depending on the offset you'll need around 10-12mm up front and on the rear.

If its pre-LCI then Rear max is 20mm and front max is 15mm.

Best is to put 12F/18R.
15mm in the front will rub during turning if fenders not molded.

I did mine last week, with New set of tires, Spacers, New brake pads and Break fluid and Coolant flush its a complete New car feeling while driving.
