Ohlins price reduction

Word on the street is that Ohlins USA dropped the pricing on the E9x coilover kit from $2599 to $2218......contact your favourite vendor to confirm. HPA Harold hooked me up with this deal and mine are going in this weekend. I'll do a review as soon as I can and confirm or deny if they are as good as everyone says....

I'm going with the kit springs at first and if I think the rears are too soft, I might change them out later for higher rate...

The roads around my new home of Houston are harsh, so I am rethinking all suspension decisions. One factor now is that I want fewer road slab explosions in the cabin and quicker overall bump absorption, both small ones and large.

With the Ohlins you can't go wrong. The dampers are so well built with lots of technology, the suspension will be well damped with very little NVH going to the cabin and the driver.

Sounds nice. As a daily driver (no track time), what is your guesstimate on a mileage range....before they would need a rebuild?

Ohlins recommends every two years, but I have customer with over 60K miles and over 5 years without any issues. Ohlins simply did it to cover their rear I believe.

How much extra in price over the original non-swift Ohlins if one requests to buy the version with the rears from the 1m/m3 For those that did the carrier arm conversion.

Can the height adjusters be purchased with struts and dampers and Swift springs? Seems that those height adjusters are a missing link...or am I missing something?

Height adjusters are included with the "make it a complete kit" option.

I can't decide between the Ohlins, KW v2/v3 and street comfort, or the TCK SA. TCK is local to me, so that is really nice. My car is mostly a DD with harsh roads and spirited driving. The KW sale right now is very attractive.
