Vibration from rear. Wheel bearing or something else?

I have been getting an annoying vibration from the rear of my car for a few weeks now. The first shop I took it to put it on the lift and said the left rear wheel had a small bend on the inner lip and the wheel bearing was bad. They threw the wheel on the road force balancer and it was perfectly balanced.

I took it to a shop to have the bend taken out and that didn't help. I then took it to the shop where I got the tires and they didn't see anything wrong with the tires.

I then took it to my mechanic and he drove the car loading it from left to right and didn't notice a change in the sound when loading the car from left to right so He didn't think it was a wheel bearing but he did not inspect the car on the lift.

I jacked up the rear of the car tonight and took this video of me spinning the wheel. You're going to need volume to hear it well. Does this sound like a bad wheel bearing to you guys or something else?

Really hard to tell if it is a wheel bearing by the video. I have exploded wheel bearings and they did not made a noticeable sound. So going by sound alone is not always for sure. I would lift the back of the car. See if you have a lot or a little play in the rear wheel.

I would also check my suspension mounts, shock/strut mounts along with the driveshaft and bolts. These are all things that can cause vibrations. Just my .02 but maybe it will shed some light. Best of luck and let us know what it turns out to be.

I don't think it's a wheel bearing. I'm starting to think that it's a cv joint. I'm going to try to take it in tomorrow.

Mechanic confirmed today that the bearing needs replaced. Will check back in to report if the issue was fixed with the new bearing. This sounds familiar

That definitely has some metal grinding sound happening. If not brake drag, then wheel bearing is likely. Hope it works.

Wheel bearing fixed it. Car is very quiet again. Well except for my exhaust
