To those with M3 Rear subframe bushings

Does anybody experience excess noice or harshness with their M3 rear subframe bushings?

I spoke with my SA who agreed to borrow me the bushing extractor tool, and he said that he has had bad luck with the M3 rear bushings. Apparantly, every one he has done, the customer brings it back within a month because they can't stand the noise.

Can anybody chime in?

Thank You

No noise at all, no harshness - just a much more secure and planted feeling from the back, and under hard cornering the back of the car holds its line perfectly without any sign of shimmy. I've had the M3 subframe bushes in for a year now and I have nothing but praise for them. Other forum members who have driven my car have noticed straight away that it seems much more secure in steady-state cornering. Highly recommended upgrade

Agreed with all but I would say don't have your SA/dealer do it for you. They have had problems with every one they have installed. Hmmmmmm.

No noise, but some increased bump harshness.

How many replacements has the dealer done?

Cool of them to lend you the press.

LSD? Which one, the M3's? Don't want to hijack the thread but if it works, I'd look into it.

Apparantly the SA has installed and later took out 5 sets of M3 bushings because of the customers complaining about noise. He's definitely a 'talker' meaning he tries to sound like he knows everything and nobody else does....who knows if his claims are even real.

R&r'd 5 M3 subframe bushing sets?!!! Are they a Dinan dealer? The only twerps I could imagine being dissatisfied w/ the M3 bushings would be some bizarre combination of suspension mods while keeping rfts. I call on your SA. Springs & dampers too stiff, sure. But anyone knowing about the advantages of the M3 bushings (and paying the $ !!!) is not the sort to wimp out over a touch more road sensitivity.

you need to know a lot of small details when installing these/ removing the old bushings. I highly recommend getting a dinan installer or a shop that has done a few already and had good feedback. The last thing u want is to have to get this done again . Lowering the rear subframe sucks...
