As above,my reminder that the microfilter needs replacing,has just popped up.
I'm not going to pay a stealer for a 10 minute job,but I will be replacing it with an oem part.
Has anyone changed their own and if so,do I need both of these parts (listed below) or just the microfilter?

The BMW UK E bay site are charging £40.99 and this includes both parts-container and filter-from what I can see-all linked under one part number-ending 115.
BMMiniparts.com have split each part into two-114&115 with prices for each-£28.01 and £20.75

As far am I am aware its one or the other -

you can buy the microfilter without the carbon activated bit

for a few quid more buy the microfilter with activated carbon - all it is that its coated with carbon to help get rid of nasty smells

unless its different on other models and there is a container?

That makes sense as others have mentioned paying extra for the carbon bit.
