I'm hoping to make it to Great Lakes in the early Sunday morning if I can burn off some fuel. I still have a very full tank. Mid fourties will make for a tough day of getting traction - luckily I have an XI and an automatic.

thats quite a bit south for me... Schaumburg would be much better.

I usually go to the gas station on Barrington Road (Route 59) in downtown Barrington. I think it's a 76 station (across from the moving company). The race pumps are off to the right in the back.

Is woodfield okay for you guys instead? Stratford is a good 30+ minutes southeast of me, pretty much opposite of where we're heading.

If Woodfield is too far out of your way, maybe the Oasis near Gurnee on I-294 or in Des Plaines on I-90 are alternative meeting points? Otherwise I'll just meet you guys there at 10 am. Either way, I'm planning on being there. I haven't ever raced on a strip but am very much looking forward to my first time doing so. I have a pretty good motorcycle helmet, I'd imagine this will be okay? Do you guys think it will be crowded there this late in the year?

Looks like the rain should stop soon, things should be dry by tomorrow morning. See you guys then.

Found it, its a Phillips 66. I'm ready to go... put in about 3/4 of a tank, was near empty when i started. its too wet right now to even try to see what kind of a difference it makes. I figure the ride up there tomorrow should be enough time for the car to adapt.

If the website says it's dry tomorrow morning, I plan on leaving early and trying to burn off some fuel.. I still have a full tank of 93 octane. It's only a 40 mile drive for me from Barrington. If you see a silver 335xi with the plates FYIFV, please stop by and say "hi"

got there around 1:00 pm with ntpcrew13, kiddo showed up around 20 minutes later followed by chitownbimmer.

checked each other's car out....ntpcrew13 had the most mods . then took a spin in my car to see the SSTT in action.....then we took kiddo's car for a ride...not even 30 secs......his passport goes off ....cop at 10am...took it slow.....

waited around till 3pm but looks like the guys who went to great lakes had so much fun that they were running really late and it was starting to get really cold....

ntpcrew13 ran into pallela on the way home....

I posted my times to dragtimes.com last night.. I'm still waiting for it to appear. I ran several 13.1x for my best times my speed was 105mph.

This was with a 335XI sedan, SSTT, auto, 3/4 tank of 93 octane, and Falcon 512 all season tires on the stock 18" sport wheels...

Not too bad for a four wheel drive car that will go all year round in the midwest - not as well as the two GC's :-)

Man, the track was awesome, Nobody was there. Looked like it was a BMW meet. took pics and videos My best time was 12.8@108 really hard to get traction. Will post them up later today

I had a great time with all the guys. Anthony that Jeep SRT of yours is a monster. Hey also man hit me up on the PM so we can get together and I can pay you back.

Kevin, Nice meeting you man, after seeing your car trap 113's I cant wait to get my V2. ANyways if I get my V2 Im going next weekend if the weather holds up and the track is open, Ill let you guys know

Yes the track was awesome. My best run was 12.9 @ 110.4. I think is pretty good for a v1.47 car with Kumho all season's. Anthony that's a crazy fast time for a 4000+ lbs car.

Kevin thanks for the bulb info..also an awesome trap for a stick shift car. Pm me if you are in the Oakbrook area during lunch.
