Question v5 and autotune

which maps not resets autotune settings when i go from map 1 to valet mode and then again from valet to map 1? as i was told that oldest maps 11-25 with autotune resets settings if you go from map 1 to zero map, and then again you need to do do 3 pulls to redline with 3th gear, what about 12-17 maps? my question if we need to adapt car always after we switch to map 0 its a little strange and not comfortable as i understand autotune should save settings....

p.s as i understood there is no autotune maps that saves settings after you press from map 1 to map 0 (valet) and otherwise.

All of the maps currently available with autotuning will reset when you change maps. If you want to keep your settings, then let the procede autotune with map 1. Then connect the procede to your computer the check the autotune boost setting and see what it autotuned up to. Set that boost level as your start boost for map1 and then everytime you change maps it will go back to what it autotuned to. The only downside to this is if you the conditions (i.e. temp, gas, etc) have gotten worse from when you autotuned it the before then the tune may be running too high. If you are worried about it, just leave it the default setting. It doesn't take too long to autotune back up, and with yourt current mods you aren't talking about about a huge increase in power from when autotuning is reset to when it is done. You probably won't even notice the 0.5 psi increase it will probably tune up to.

EDIT: Maps 12-17 save the settings when you change maps

I am running 3-30 - I don''t think we are supposed to run autotune.

What maps can I go to that has autotune enabled and released?

Please do not give out incorrect information. This was one of the things that was changed with autotune maps. Every map can now have its own autotune settings and you could go back and forth with them.

From the readme of the v5 12/17 file:

4) Persistent Autotune learning (doesn't reset at map-switch any more). And as before, each map autotunes individually.

aren't the 3-30 DIC maps the latest and greatest? is there a benefit to using the auto-tune other than auto adjustment in random frequent fluctuations , i.e. weather, gas etc

Yes they are, I ONLY have run the BETA maps because I am a new user. I wanted to go BACK and try the autotune.. i can always put the beta back in. We lost some functionality on the Beta, to gain on Performance.

My apologies, you are absolutely correct. I remembered it was talked about, but forgot it was implemented in the 12-17 maps. I will edit my original post.
