Went by the dealership last Sat night after work and they had a 2012 Carrera S Rwd right next to a 2012 GTS. Its subtle, but the two cars look different on the outside. Where the 997 has very flat plans on the hood and spherical headlights, the 991 is more rounded and softer. And the interior 991 makes the 997 look about a decade old. To bad the 991 had a sticker of $126k. Fuck me that's a lot.

if it makes any difference, only chicks drove a GT-R in China, never saw a guy driving one....maybe they need the room for the designer shopping bags and fido...

the interior of the GT-R doesn't do it for me (I'm sitting at IND about 30 ft from one, not impressed). the exterior styling is meh, and despite it being blistering fast I think it's too calculated/controlled to be as much fun as a 911 would be. Plus that thing is a plus sized model at over 3800lbs instead of 3300 on a CS2.

James...fwiw...there is a private seller on autotrader selling his gtr for 53k....66k miles though.
