what kind of exhaust do you have? and is it smoking all the time or just on start? also is it smoking heavier out of one tailpipe than the other? reason I ask is mine started to do that 2 days after I put straight pipes on it and my turbos were bad, luckily I upgraded to RB but the pcv valve alone wasn't the cause of all of that. The link above shows how to do it best, on the safe side I replaced my VCG as well as cleaned the Intake valves.

id keep an eye on it but the way I did it is took the last fuel line off toward the rear of the car, pulled the hose that goes into the valve cover and there is a circular cover that you can either use a 14mm wrench or a 1/2in either works fine. once the cover is off it takes a little maneuvering to get the valve out. follow the link
http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=190 for pics. its relatively easy just don't dick up any plastic pieces haha! oh and it may be time to clean your intake valves as well if you haven't done that already. oh and VCG is (Valve Cover Gasket) |

unless you messed up the cap taking it off you can use the old one. I replaced the PCV valve and vent hose because I broke the clip on the vent hose (very easy to do) so I would suggest spending the extra $38 and getting one haha! if it were me though I would probably buy them all and you will have a spare for later if you need it

^yes order PCv hose as he said above, it's only $25 bucks. Also use a socket if you can to remove the cap instead of a wrench so it doesn't chew the end off.
