I have the non i drive voice command option on my car.
I tried saying every command but doesnt work.
How do I get this to work?..

To my knowledge voice command is only on iDrive equipped models.(from 2007 3er sedan brochure)
You may have a little voice button on the steering wheel, but it could be redundant. like how my e46 had a cell phone button on the steering wheel but no phone.

I have an 08 without Idrive and voice works. I just can't figure out how to have it call a contact such as "home". I can only make it work by saying the full phone number

FYI, I have a 08 e92 335i non-iDrive.

1. press the voice command button on your steering wheel.
2. you can say HELP to hear every option you have.
3. voice commands on non-iDrive model are pretty much for bluetooth call.
4. you can save a phone number saying

i. SAVE NAME
ii. (say the name you want to save)
iii. (say the phone number you want to save)
iv. say DIAL NAME to call the name you saved.

just got my names working with voice. The manual says "store name" and help says "save name" I was able to finish the entries by saying save name instead of dial name.

umm i think the voice commands for pre-lci non-idrive 3's are for phone functions only.

'add name'
'dial name'
'help'
