replacement tyres with rim protection

more questions from me...

will need to buy new tyres later this yr

currently i have bridgestone potenza's and they have a brilliant, wide lip to protect the alloys from parking / kerb errors

the bridgestones are really expensive to replace is there anything similar but cheaper with the rim protection ?

am not bothered about run flats either way

thanks again Kathy

Go on mytyres.co.uk and put your tyres sizes on and it will give you lots
of results. From what I can see dunlop is the only tyres that provides rim protection. I used sp sport on my merc which I found to be much better than falkens I had before.. can't comment on the use of bmw

What about those plastic rim protectors? I think it was Neil at Juiced Up who was selling them a while back. Could be wrong about that though.

Anyway, here.

again, thanks for the help guys

Rich, i have used alloygators before on my old e91, they were good, and i did chew a "few" up, much easier to replace one of those than repair / respray a wheel

have become something of an expert at scraping / repairing mv3's over the last 5yrs !!!

thanks kathy

Bridgestone tend to have one of the largest rim protectors of any tyre, might be worth paying the extra for the tyre if it saves a wheel refurb in the future.
