Help with Spacers on 07' 328xi
Hello all -
Seeing as I don't have money for new wheels, I wanted to add spacers to my stock ones. Since sizing varies by several factors, I wanted to know if 15mm front and 20mm rear would be ok on an all wheel drive? I came by these numbers after looking at this post (I have the same wheels): http://europeanautosource.com/blog/s...green-e90.html If anyone has any experience (positive or neg), please do share. Also, how much would be a good total cost for reliable set of 4? Any advice on brands or stores to stay away from or to go for, again - please do share. Thanks! I appreciate it. |

I think it can be done. I did 15mm max rear when I had stocks and it was fine. 20mm should be ok. I would look at either H&R or Rogue Engineering Spacers. ECS tuning also has a good set of spacers. Other companies make spacers as well but have not personally tried them. I would think $160-200ish

Whether you have an AWD or RWD model won't matter much. Just measure how much clearance you have between the tire and the fender, and then order the right size for your specific application.

Thank you for the replies. I measured both and although 20mm in the rear might seem like a bit much, the fact that 95% of the time I drive solo or with one other person and that several other posters have said 20mm rears are fine, I think I'm going to go with 15mm/20mm.
I came across these two deals on Ebay - what do you guys think? Anything I should be cautious about? $117 - http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-BMW-Wheel-...item3a8db24bc1 $136 - http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-Wheel-Sp...item3a8e58f37a The only difference I see with the more expensive set is them being black and anodized. Are these two worth the extra $19? Thank you again for the help. |

Get a "name brand" set from one of our trusted vendors. I have Macht Schnell spacers and they're great. Some generic ones I've used work just fine, but the finish on the bolts and spacers themselves start to pit and corrode and look like crap after about a year or so. JMHO.
