What are your favorite mods you've done and why?

Figured it only makes sense if we had this thread since we have the regretful mod thread.

edit - After some thought adding a tweeter to the center speaker has been my favorite mod. Completely changes the sound.

My favorite is still probably my M3 bumper and my LCI tails coming in a close 2nd.

Black grills / wheels / tint are my favorite so far. Made a pretty big difference in the look of the car.

Not to many mods done at this point...

But my favorite thus far would have to be the M3 tri-stitched wheel along with the ZHP shift knob. World of a difference, like night and day from the regular old sport wheel and ugly chrome knob.

I really enjoy the PE and the clutch stop from "pickyeater" which is one of the cheapest, most effective mods for us MT drivers.

Again on my 635csi 1985 vintage i thought the intake was poor sitting on the exhaust manifold. So seeing that there was not anything available i made up a design myself taking rammed cold air from the headlight. I then took it to a fabricator and had it made in polished aluminium and heat shielded up. I then organised a Rolling road day and did two runs one with the standard intake and one with my new one. My car gained 17BHP. It was a proud moment. About 6 owners world wide have now had one made based on my design.

I've got the same clutch stop from that guy! Best $10 mod ever!

+2

Adjusted my clutch stop about 3-4 times until I got it just where I like it. Also bought it from the original creator.

For my N52: BMS piggyback, euro intake with k&n.
For the looks dept: oem blacklines, oem black grill and 3M crystalline tint.
For the ride dept: non-run flat Michelins
For the sound dept: upgraded amps and speakers

Somewhat conservative mod, but this is now the most enjoyable car I have ever owned and use on a daily basis, and I've had many!

I have to say it's the wheels. I took a lot of time to choose and then i waited like 4 months those to arrive.

I traded in my CPO 2007 Msport X3 and got a CPO 2010 328i xDrive Sedan (space grey met) in late Dec 2012. The X3 was a nice vehicle but it drove less like a BMW and more like a truck.

I did the following (so far) on my 328i. Upgrades were made for convenience and appearance.

I coded the following:
-Doors unlock when key FOB removed
-Mirrors fold with key FOB
-Windows roll up with key FOB
-Fogs on with high beams and flash
-Seat belt gong disabled
-Euro dbl blink hazard flashers
-Wipers self-park when ignition is off

Interior Mods:
-Seat backs replaced with seatbacks with nets.
-Replaced rear center console with power outlets and sunglass shelf

Exterior:
-MTEC H8 6W LED's for EA's

On the wish list once the weather warms up in the spring:
-Fog lights upgraded to either brighter/whiter PIAA halogens or Xenon’s conversion.
-Windows tinted.
-Lightweight 18" summer wheels and non run flat tires.
-Fill front Lic plate bracket holes on front bumper and repaint the bumper.
-AA handheld programmer and ECU flash.
-BMW PE.
-Multifunction sport steering wheel with heat and paddles.
-Undecided on black kidney grills, trunk lip spoiler etc.

i love all my mods! but deez are my favorite.

led angels because halogen bulbs are gross

m3 rep front because it looks 100X better then stock.

muffler delete because imo it sounds great without being too obnoxious, saves alot of weight, and really cheap!

set of rims because style 159's are the ugliest rims ever.

jb3/4 only real engine mod i need for my daily.

I haven't done a whole lot, but my favorite mod I've done I have to say is the Aero Lip. The Aero Lip is the most recent mod I have done so now the front of the car finally shows the aggression that the rest of the car has been displaying.

Pops did the wheels back when he owned it so I can't say they're my favorite since I didn't buy them lol. But he followed my advice!

I'm pretty happy with all of my mods that are currently on the car. I guess my favorites would be Cobb, Helix FMIC and my electric cutouts. Exterior-wise, I like my OEM shadowline, blacklines and CSL trunk. I'm tired of my current wheels so once I get my new ones they will probably be added to that list as well

My favorite mods are the ones that *I had to do* and shouldn't have to do on a BMW;
- lower the suspension
- install a PE
