License Plate in Windshield

I've had my license plate in my windshield since my first car and would like a better way to mount it.

I currently have pieces of 3M grey mounting tape (same stuff used for spoilers/splitters/etc.) folded over a few times and holding the corners of the plate to the window. Problem with this method is that when it gets hot, the tape unfolds and stretches and looks bad.

I'm thinking the best way would be to have suction cups with screws at the ends for the holes in the plate. This was the best I was able to find:

Any other suggestions? I think a great idea would be to have it printed on reflective vinyl in full-size and just stuck on the inside of the window. But that could draw more attention from the cops as it would look fake from a few feet away.

i would just get a tow hook mount but if you really want it in your windshield then the suction cups you linked should be fine

I've got my US plate on a tow hook mount with a Euro plate on the bumper.

Just bought a set of those suction cups, I'll see how well they hold.

I don't see much point in a tow hook cover unless you feel obliged to follow the law and want to protect your (purchased) car from a drill bit. Imo, it's uglier than the standard plate mount. It's offset (looks less clean) and also sticks out a good 1-2 inches as opposed to the standard mount which is more or less flush.

Got these a few days ago and they work PERFECTLY. If you need to remove the plate for some reason, you can just unscrew the plastic nuts and keep the suction cups on the windshield. Very happy.

BUMP!!!! I'm curious to see how BOTH of these look, and to the OP, let me know how the suction cups are holding up when the sun hits the windshield. Every few days my GPS mount will fall off the windshield due to the sun heating up the air under the suction cup and it losing suction. I'd assume the same thing happens with your plate mount suction cups?

These are not my pictures but I actually did this and it's perfect. I can easily remove the plate for pictures.
