DAB Radio
seen a few posts lately from those just picking up new cars....now mine is a month old i feel qualified to speak at length as an expert
anyway i found that to get DAB "working" i just went into manual station selection, initiated a "SCAN" as you do with your indoors DAB at home. it then "scanned" and found lots of different station categories which i then saved under the available presets. now whenever i go into DB it auto rescans and picks them all up again. if you don't do this then you just the the presets with "no signal" listed against each one, it doesnt seem to go off and find stations for you (as FM does with autostore) without you telling it to. edit: I was totally unimpressed with DAB for the first few uses....now i've sussed it (sort of) i love it!!! good option to have. |

Do You still have FM/AM/LW etc with DAB?
Excuse me for butting in but are the normal radio bands (FM/AM/MW etc) still available with the DAB option fitted?
Thanks.

I reckon the DAB is my fav feature on the car, i'd never spec another car without it.

Great, that's another option box ticked for when I order my 335D/i SE/M Sport.
Thanks for the reply.

I have it too, and I just don't use the regular radio channels anymore.
Occasionally, as I have to drive up and down the UK, I can't get a station from my presets, but as stated above, just go to manual tune. works a treat. I for one, am so pleased I loaded my car with all the toys - driving's never been more fun. regards B |

I did not go for DAB since here in the sticks (NI) I would only get it about 50% of the time

Don't forget that once you've passed the Humphry's 'tolerance' event horizon, you can wind down with a spot of BBC7 or even tune in to the traffic channel - the channel that brings you the traffic news - go figure
