I'm sure there is only 0.1 sec between a manual and a DCT transmission to 60.

Even still the amount of times I would be doing full bore standing starts would make it pointless for me.

I don't see the 0-60 time as the most important thing when buying a car.

With manual boxes it all depends on the driver. You get someone who flat shifts etc and the difference is minimal on a 0-60 run in an average car (not factoring LC).
But if you compare dual clutch boxes against average Joe behind the wheel, then the difference can be a lot greater. Especially if you do a longer run with more changes involved..
