They will have based the service plan on hourly cost at one of their main garages, not BMW rates.

Not sure if im allowed but if they start acting up then ill just go right to them and demand they look at it. I dont trust him but hes alright, hes a friend of my uncles so he looked after me.

If it's an Auto it will have, just knock the gear stick to the left from the D position. - If it's a manual, no.

I didn't think you needed any tools to reset the service indicators? Mine certainly doesn't.....

To the OP, Its a nice looking, decent steer. I had an E92 Coupe 320i as a courtesy car last month, yes, it felt a bit flat, (but then most things do after a 335d) but to be fair to it, grunt aside, it revved smoothly, handled as it should, and was generally a pleasant place to be. From memory, its only about 1450kg, whereas the 335d is best part of 200kg heavier, and you can feel it in the corners, 320i definitely changes direction with more aplomb.

Engine was definitely quieter than mine which isn't a bad thing, and 40mpg was a piece of piss. I also like the red, you don't see many of them (because 90% of people that buy them seem to be all a bit conservative, Red and Montego blue seem to be as outrageous as you can go these days).

For what its worth, I also remember driving a 320d and being totally unimpressed. Its just a four pot diesel, absolutely nothing to get excited about. Refined and economical is about as positive as I can be about it.

As for reliability, that means bollocks all these days, mines been in the garage every other month for serious issues......

I have a 320i and although I am moving to a 6 pot, I think the 320i is one of the smoothest 4 cylinder engines around. Yes its a little thirsty but if you are only doing 8k miles a year that shouldnt bother you.
Its been 100% reliable with the exception of the infamous coils and injector issue, which was rapidly fixed last year and since then its been a totally different car.

Just drive it and enjoy it

My 320i constantly cuts out, but there's a button on the dash that stops this from happening! lol

Stop-Start is a pain in the ass. The peasants just laugh at the 'prat' in the Beemer who keeps stalling his engine.

Looks great in red.
Did you pick this up yet? If not, insist they remove the rear wheels and check for cracks, with these rims its more a case of "when will they crack"rather than "if". If the wheels are ok, ditch the run flats.

I've driven a few x20i's (in either a 1 series or 3 series variant - same engine). They've all been pretty reliable.

If you are happy with the way it drove I really wouldn't worry about it mate - just enjoy your new car . The only thing i'd suggest is ensuring you have a BMW warranty as it really is worth it (for any vehicle) - but you've got that covered so all good.

The car is being Mot'd, and reading on here the cracks get picked up there. Also they are refurbing every alloy as they were all kerbed, so they'll see then yeah im ditching the runflats asap.

My cracked wheel got picked up on the MOT but the garage that ran the MOT are known for being very thorough. I suspect most standard garages would not notice a hairline crack on a wheel.

Nice.

Try not park under the trees though. It makes a mess of your paint.
