Okay so that 400whp ve statesman i was talking about isnt that flash. We got excited after FF7 and ended up lining up on the way home, an s15 also joined in the fun. The ve had two passenger's, i had one and we went at it from a 70kish roll and went all the way to 230. Inhave rode in it before and it feels and sounds fast as fuck and i was fully prepared to get my ass handed to me. We did the three beeps and my start was good, his was a little late so i put a 1.5ish car lengths on him instantly and pretty much held it to 230ish. He couldn't get in front of me and is very very egar for a rematch lol. Very upset he couldn't beat a stock 335 with 10k spent on a 6l v8. Very very impressed with how the car went, i would beat him with tune for sure given equal starts. My good start definitely saved me in this case though.

The s15 got destroyed by both and was long behind but was a nice guy we had a good rolling chat.

I said stock in the post. Its just had a carbon clean. Easily good for 100rwkw.

Lol obviously hes very egar to do it again as he fucked the start pretty badly and rightfully so, he should have demolished me but he never got in front. The only thing i can think of is the massive weight of the stato with passengers played a big role. Another mate has agreed to film in his stock ss next time, so that should be a good gauge.

I was suprised when he said his car only kept up with a stock e92 m3, but after last nights run being so close im starting to believe that... dat weight.

I raced an SV6 while stock and only pulled a few car lengths up to 120'ish.

I've not been able to get find any clubsports that are out ready to race

You need to get a JB4 on there at least!!

That's because you need to get that e85 in there!!

Map 5 without e85 is sometimes worse than map 2 on 98.

I thought running E85 thins out the oil, puts stress on the motor and makes ur nads go all shriveled? Is this not true ????

I think another reason it was closer than it should have been was because his auto can hardly handle the power, he informs me its actually 420WHP. When i rode in it i did notice its shifts are absolutely atrocious, very slow and you can tell the auto isnt happy with that power behind it. I msged the passenger today and asked what was going on in the car and if he wasnt fully on the gas or what, but he said he was flat stick and that the auto was just to slow, any gaisn they made they dropped right back at shifts.

Poor guys been copping it on Facebook all day from those who heard lol.

Funny thing is another local mate with a 335 w JB4 has put his hand up to race and my mate wants nothing to do with it, can probably see the writing on the wall if he couldn't pull on a stock one.

For the amount of E85 you'd need to run for a good map 5, it won't do any harm at all.

If you were running 100% e85 for a full 10,000km service interval and your cylinders were worn... then I could see how the alcohol would get into the oil and cause problems, but not for just a little bit.

How long are your oil service intervals? Once you go e85, you won't go back.

Also the GM 6 speed auto is bit of a slug even in a stock car, especially in the VE commodores (one of the common points argued in the XR6T vs SS argument, where as the XR6T has the much better ZF 6 speed), the new VF commodores 6 speed apperantly is much better, but still lags behind the newer ZF boxes.

And the statemans is more of Holden's luxury car rather than sporty and hence probably has more softer suspension which doesn't help (unless your mate has modified his).

Off topic, but I saw a Mazda 3 MPS (not sure how modified it is, since seems pretty quiet even at WOT) smoke an older HSV (sounded cammed) driving back from work last night...

All I can say is that sound can be (very) deceiving, that V8 made a shite load of noise but the 'hairdresser hatch' just blasted past with little effort (or noise)... LOL

Wanted to have a run with them, but then remembered my car is still at the panel beaters...

Indeed, I've found no one is ever really keen for a run not sure if the bmw badge carries more performance prestige than i think and people think twice before running one or the opposite and people dont rate it unless its got an m bdage. m sport e92s certaily look the business though.

This was just one of those times were everything worked out, we had just left and were heading home in the two cars it was late roads were empty and an s15 just so happened to join in.

Last night a guy in his XR8 falcon thought he could take me at the lights, im all stock except the JB4 and i have just been trying out map 5 so i thought why not.
Completely destroyed him by a few car lengths and was quite happy until i slowed down and well the famous misfire started. A quick restart saw it go away but i guess i need some new plugs and coils now
