I think the money would be better spent trying to get the gearbox to allow a more aggresive map..

But if it takes the re-map alrite then the box would be alright with a few more ponies from bits and bobs. If its on the edge of catastrophic failure now, surely we would have seen quite a lot go bang already.

Carl, I thought your map had to be knocked back a little because the torque sensor in the G`box was limiting the power available ? So whats the point of adding more power if thats going to keep happening, or have I got it wrong ? (Might ask on PH )

No it wasnt that. It wasnt going into limp because of the boost and fuel Nothing to do with the box.

Too much boost and fuel. I rekon it was easy 375bhp thinking back. I rekon there would be a way round the limp mode.

obviously with chip tuning you can take advantage new intercooler. But you would gain that much?

I thought that on a stock vehicle, an IC would just make the system more efficient slow down the turbos a bit because you wouldn't lose so much pressure in the IC. on a tuned vehicle you can squeeze a little bit more power and lose less of it due to heat over extended use.

Any one tryied the P-tronic chip it gain 370hp 715nm ? Isn't that too much ? Do you know any custom air intakes for 335d ?
