I find that mine pulls hard to 5k without any drop off as such. On my graph max power was made at 4500 and held to 4800. Does a re-mapped one still pull all the way to the redline hard like an animal or does the peak power come in earlier now and drop off quicker?

No - it is through Outlook under the file / new / new message menu to info@e-maps.co.uk.

This application may give a +37 bhp & + 60 nm boost to your mail exchange server.

I rather doubt that the German part of the operation works at BMW following their recent practice of seeking that all such people are slammed in prison.

My understanding is that the cooling allows the ECU to take the map ? its sounds bizzare but originally when they tried to map the ECU it wouldn't take as the ambient temperature was too high, turned out sticking the ECU in a freezer bag in the freezer for an hour helped. I guess the freezer spray acts the same way but much quicker.

I'm sure someone has a more scentific explanation but the lower the temperature (to a point) the better the chances of the re-map working ?

From memory of old, freezing wipes the EPROM of any residual code leaving it clear to re-programme.

So there is a point that it could go very wrong, if you freeze it and then can't reprogram it.

Thanks for the answer guy's, It does look like Simon was using the ICP method of repregramming (because of the amount of pins on the header) but I am suprised it needs freezing you should just be able to flash it.

mmmmmm intersting more research to do I think.
