Pulled a good length on 2 wankers in a SS VZ commdore last week while driving to work.
Doesn't look like it was very well modified, probably just a Cat back for all the attention grabbing, as it was all bark & no go, made a shit load of noise but didn't really go anywhere... It all started when I was behind him at a set of lights, he wasn't happy that I changed lanes to overtake so decided to floor it as I was about to pass him, I let it slide for a couple of times as there was traffic behind us at the time, but he kept on flooring it, followed by slowing down till I was side by side & flooring it again. Decided enough was enough & came the next stretch of straight road with no more traffic behind, I went WOT (while still in normal D mode LOL) while he side by side flooring it, car dropped 2 or 3 gears & pulled like a truck length or two in front. Funny thing was after that he went back to driving like miss daisy when he caught up again while I was turning at the lights futher up ahead.

Was at the lights with some bogans next to me in an XRT, revving it up and being idiots. I couldn't really rev it, as I had DCT, so I thought hey I'd go stealth and be like "I'm not paying attention to you guys and then BAM! 5 car lengths ahead 335i powar!"...
Lights go green and I lost. |

Lost a race the other week to the new Gen F supercharged GTS. It had a lumpy cam, tune and exhaust. Stock those cars are rated at 430kw. I'd say this one was around the 500kw range. He got me by only half a car so I was pretty happy with the outcome. Didn't think he was expecting that though.

I also have a good video of my 335 pulling from my friends modded Black Series Maloo. Shame I did not have someone filming the R8 runs. I have driven the V10 R8 and a V8 R8, the V10 is much more powerful and the gearbox is much better. I found the V8 was simply not quick and the gearbox was rubbish.

i came a cross an aston martin v12 recently ,no idea what year (they all look the same)
he was with his asian imported girlfriend with chin up sky high next to me looking very proud. I wasnt ashamed to loose against a v12, was very prepared to loose and wondered how much id loose by actually.. surprisingly he wasn't fast at all. he jumped me for a second or two, then i reeled him in instantlly jb4+dp+stage2 lpfp+e8540% |

I dont need to make this a pissing contest, merely sharing past experiences. I am confident My 63 would be quicker than my old 335 too, just a shame i never did a dyno run or track times to prove it. |

I am not doubting a c63 is fast either but.... the stats are
2013 C63 336kw / 600nm 1730kg kerb weight So Approx. 194kw/ton To match 194kw/ton power/weight in a 335i that weighs 1545kg kerb weight, you need 299kw, and this measurement is at the flywheel (manufacturers specs). There are plenty of guys on this forum running 300kw or thereabouts at the wheels. If a stock 335 is rated 225 flywheel, and if the dyno charts of stock form is around 190 kw atw... I'm guessing you need to make maybe 275kw atw to match the power/weight on paper. I definitely think it's plausible if you've got the figures. Edit: I suppose you just have to make the power, and hope that c63 you pull up next to ain't modified. |

Willing to do a WSID meet one week if anyone wants to try. Only mods I have done is the exhaust and Tune, I do have the Sports pack which gives you LSD and bit more power anyway. Id be keen to see what times it gets.
found a short clip of a run with my friends Black Series Maloo. Last edited by Simonaras; 12-01-2014 at 07:50 PM.. |

Just beat some stereotypical riced fart can civic 30 minutes ago driving back from work.
Funny thing was my DSC was flashing while I zoomed past him and I still pulled several car lengths. Which got me thinking, how much intervention do the default DSC do? I didn't feel like it cut any power during that time (I wasn't on WoT, more around 70-80% throttle), compared to the other time I was driving on unsealed road with sand last year (last easter holiday) and the DSC was working overtime and I felt it cutting power from wheel to wheel. If I want to go fast, put into DTC - the traction control is quite good in DTC and will allow some slip in a straight line, but still corrects if the car creeps too far sideways. |
