Hey guys,
a quick update with regards the RHD compatibility of the TFT intake/turbo inlet kit, I'm very happy to say that based on initial reports from a RB powered N54 owner in WA, the rear turbo inlet pipe whilst certainly being a tight fit was able to be installed without modification to the pipe, wow! With some finessing of the rear turbo inlet snout silicone coupler as per Brian's recommendation, it would appear the RHD fitment concerns have been addressed. I am pretty shocked to say the least as Peter and I both thought that some relief of the rear pipe would be required as a minimum, but hey sometimes things just work out for the best, sweet! Ian's car will be going into Advan performance soon for fitment of his TFT kit, I have a few install pics coming from the super keen first adopter in WA but I'll document the whole install process and finished result thoroughly once Ian's car goes under the knife. Whilst Ian had initially been lined up as the first RHD "guinea pig", due to a change of circumstances the first complete kit went to the WA customer, but I'm sure Ian will be very pleased to know that the install at Advan should be smooth sailing. Thanks, JD. |

This is awesome news and glad to hear it!
Let's not get too excited yet however, as 'clearance' means different things to different ppl. So Pete@advan may not be 100% happy with the clearance he see's. Cannot wait! |

This rear inlet pipe is far from fitting, a solution is being worked on and developed as we speak... Which could also potentially address the compatibility for the RHD fitment for Super RB's.

Sorry I have a manual, wasn't sure what you were talking about.
I didn't think there was a auto upgrade that can handle 650 hp Last edited by Brule; 03-28-2015 at 03:35 AM.. |

Literally the night prior to Ian's car going into Advan I received an email from the guys in WA stating that they had made an error with regards their fitment assessment and in short the rear turbo inlet pipe would not fit without extensive modification. Anyway not to worry as I never thought it would work and as previously stated I was somewhat shocked to hear that it was sorted, so easy come easy go. |

With regards the Super RB Evolution turbochargers Rob has gone on to say that whilst he will supply the Super RB Evo kit to RHD customers he will not be held responsible for associated fitment issues and should by some small miracle the turbo inlet and compressor discharge plumbing fit without modification, the onus is on the customer to ensure suitable steering assembly clearance as the kit was not intended for use in a RHD application.
Given the substantially increased pipe diameter associated with the true TD04 compressor housing I don't see how Rob's turbo inlet pipe and compressor discharge plumbing solution will bolt up without fouling on the steering assembly. The way to go about RHD fitment would be to bolt up the Super RB Evo turbocharger hardware (minus the plumbing) to the cylinder head and fabricate an inlet and discharge pipework solution from scratch. |
