Yeah I can relate! Kinda like rooting an ugly chick, no matter how good she is in bed she's still ugly...

Not to call you out mate, but that's a load of puffery.

I have a 300+335 and stage 2 + (not just a stg 1) roccos and golfs do not pull let alone keep up.

Maybe the guy driving the '300kw' 335 needs to learn how to drive ( and take dtc off)

We're comparing a mid 4 sec car to a mid to high 5 sec car at best

At least the golf rs pull hard off the line bc of their lc and awd

I test drove one after and it is a nice car in terms of grip and power delivery. The artificial engine sound is not to my liking though.
[QUOTE]

Can these 'fake engine sounds' be coded out or disabled via the ECU?

This 'feature' along puts me off any car, if I wanted a fake sound I would just buy a sound racer v10 and pretend I'm driving a Lambo...

Not me, I only got catless DPs mated with stock catback, and the former does give some gains on performance when running more aggressive maps from either JB4 or Cobb.

I got a full turbo back exhuast on my Skyline, because for that car they do give a noticable increase in performance seeing how the stock exhaust is the size of a pea shooter (where as the stock exhuast on the 335i is pretty decent to begin with, minus the front cats), the increase in sound is more of a by-product for a 'cheap made in China' straight bolt on.

Since my 335i is still getting repaired at the panel shop, I've being daily driving the Skyline and I'm getting a little tired of the loud exhuast sound when ever I put my foot down, draws too much unwanted attention from the Police trying to defect you or Bogans in Chevy-badge-dores trying to race you.

I think you have been fooled by how the power is delivered. 335s dont really feel that fast until you look at the speedo, i cant see a Rocco with 3k spent beating a 335 with 3k spent.

Not the case mate, i've also seen it. Knowing both parties very well. That Rocc is a very quick car just with a tune I've driven it myself.

And as for the 335 a member on here, respectfully as well. I'd say it was very much tight tbh.

No, I haven't but a lot of car magazines have. Sorry but I just don't believe a 6.0 second Sirrocco R is going to be a match for a 4.5 second M3 (which Car and Driver produced a 3.9 second run with).

Man what your saying just does not add up, iv just been looking all over the net, had a quick squiz through the 1/4 mile times thread on vwwatercooled and all the golf r's and roccos i can see with tune only, or "stage 1" "stage 1+" and even the stage 2s are not posting times better than a 335 with JB4 and dps would, we know the 335 is good for 12.5 with those two all day, yet these cars aren't posting that, some stage 2s are ?

Ps if you spent 15K on a 335 engine you would have a 700HP single on there or 600WHP twins, so that's a ridiculous exaggeration.

As mentioned in my previous post I beat a stock golf 7 r at the drags. Fact is they are faster than a stage 1 rocco. You're a clown if you think othwerwise. Fwd roccos may perform ok on a roll but off the line they are honda civic like. Haha you make me laugh..stg1 rocco faster than 335i with 15k worth of mods? Hahahhahaha

I think I saw a pig fly too. Maybe it was your mum.
