Help! Ticking/whistling noise from blower...
I've had my e90 since august and all the sudden I started hearing a ticking noise from the blower (especially at low speeds) and sometimes even a whistling noise when theres a gust of wind. The problem is that it doesn't occur all the time and whenever I take it to the dealer it stops and they say nothing is wrong with it. It definitely happens enough to notice it. The wierd thing is that the dealer even replaced the blower for me after I was persistent enough but it STILL CONTINUES to make those annoying noises.
If anyone knows anything, I'd really appreciate it cuz its driving me nuts! thanks |

i have what i believe to be the same noise. I think it is coming from the plastic piece that surrounds the radio and climate control buttons. If you press on it you will here it "crackle" as though it was mounted or glued down correctly

I don't have the ticking but when the climate control system redirects air to the top vents (windshield), the air flow does become more discernible and louder. Seems like the air flow is more turbulent and rougher from the vents behind the iDrive screen, hence louder.
