Top 7th Bottom 4th Now Iīve changed to: Top 6th Bottom 7th Isnīt a little strange that yours come with the top on 8th and mine with 7th? We have the same engine (2.0 177hp), right?

Yesterday I tried with the power set on maximum, from the 7th pin to the 9th. Maybe its just my imagination but it didnīt feel faster. Instead, it felt slower on lower rpms. Didnīt had the time trying with the 8th pin but Iīm gonna do that later. Maybe the 7th pin is the optimal setting for my car.
But its really quick now with the pin on 7th. Before with the setting on the 3th pin the acceleration was sluggish after 90 mph but now it keeps accelerating good and first after 125 mph it starts to feel sluggish. I would like to take it on a rolling road but thats expensive here. Hope that there will be software soon for this ecu so I can skip the box. Esstuning in Norway has a 225hp software version for the older engine (163hp). Would be nice if that would be possible for the 177hp engine as well!

I am now on Top 6th, Bottom 7th. Feels slightly quicker and smoother. Don't know if anything has effected consumption. ECU remap would be better but that's another bunch of cash after buying the Spider. If you could sell the Spider I would be interested in a remap

I dont have any upper and lower pins ...i just have a block of 10 and i the pin moves in pairs...like
.......... .......... and the main connector is goes across both pins so i cant do say 7th lower and 3rd upper ...i can only do 1up-1down ---7up-7down etc etc ...but i know its working cos of the 330d 57 plate e90..that got the shock of his life...when he could quite get away up too X mph. Mind you i was one of mikes launch customers at spider |

You have one of the original boxes, I had that in my 120d.
Speak to Mike and see what he suggests, you may find that row 1 (on the left) leaves it in adaptive mode on that unit. |

Yesterday I changed the power setting to 8th pin. And this seems to be the optimal setting for my car. Feels a little faster than 7th pin but it could be my imagination.
And today I got a race with a 330i Touring (e46) and we hade two rolling races from about 40 km/h. And I kept up with him both times. Feels good. I know its not a fast car but as my daily driver I think its doing ok
