Nightrain mate where did you get your Euro Spec Race Springs as they are exactly what I want a bit lower than US Sports but not as low as US Racing, Its what I had on my E46 and I loved the height, I bought it off a Guy in Aus but no idea where he got them from.

Well Let me know if you do sell them because Ive ordered 19" V710's with 33mm offset so I don't fear to rub.

Will I am pretty sure Mote shaved 5mm off his LM's no worries

Mark, Jlevisw has springs for a bit over $200usd, but not the euros i think. I'm worried about a drop with the aero lip...would only be a matter of time until i scrape it ha. How's the ride on springs with stock shocks? It would wear out the shocks a lot quicker I'd imagine. I hear mixed reports and people say to go with coilovers, but it's a big difference in cost!!

Coilovers will be worth the extra cost in the end.

If you go for springs, and you don't like the height, byebye money... Coilovers, you won't have that problem. Also you have the added advantage of the adjustable dampening with alot of coilovers.

Astra, I like your taste in wheels!

I've got a space grey E92, what do you suggest? Most of the Linea Corse seem ok.

I like the Vellano VSO look, but not the +5k pricetag. So hard to decide!

Are they illegal in Australia??

Is that through AAMI? I'm pretty sure they cover anything as long as it's road worthy/legal

ANY non factory modification makes your car illegal but as long as you notify your insurance company, and they accept the modification then you have nothing to worry about. Simply remember this -: Just because you pay insurance premiums doesn't mean you have insurrance cover.

I was under the Impression by Law Ride Height Adjustable Coil overs are illegal and therefore good luck convincing your Insurance company to insure you.

I suppose that every state has different rules to determine what is legal and what is not.

I looked at the RTA website for NSW, I can't see any reason why coil-overs would be illegal. I wonder if it would be enough to tell your insurance companay you have "lowered and enhanced suspension". If the car rubs on the tyres, that seems to make it illegal though.

I got a call from DB SCHENKER to say my wheels arrived and they need my approval to go ahead with brokerage and customs clearance, etc.

To cut a long story short, it's going to be $340 in fees + any quarantine (unlikely) and luckily they were only $500usd so no duty on top of that

Is it just me or is this absolute BS? I heard someone say you can do most of it yourself? Too late now as I gave them the go-ahead, but might be useful for others in the future.

Oh and I presume the same is for BAX but not Fedex?? I suppose lesson is to send Fedex when possible?? Maybe wheels are too heavy.

Edit: Shipping was $400usd, so all up it's quite dear to get them here

Sounds very familiar mate. My VMR wheels came in via DB SCHENKER a couple of months ago... and I also had to pay around $350 to clear them through customs.

Sounds like you got a good deal on the price of the wheels themselves though.

Sorry to hijack your thread Will, but my babies are here.

Forgestar F14 in Titanium Finish
19 x 10 ET37
19 x 8.5 ET30

Will be wrapping them in Toyo T1R's. They look silver/polished due to my shoddy Nokia POS camera phone.

For those interested, it ended up costing an additional $415 when I picked them up on top of the $400us I paid in freight. Appraisal fee 55, terminal fee 147, customs agency fee 125, compliance fee 20, appraisal fee 30 (+gst). Then they wanted to charge me 3% for credit card, so all up pretty damn rude if you ask me

That's getting about as tight as you can run without a fender roll.

I'm going with Toyo T1R 275/30/19 and 235/35/19
