Trivett at Parramatta....again the sales guy who sold me the car could not be better.
When I spoke to the girl at BMW Aust. she was not interested and could not care in the least...she was actually laughing about it. |

If you change dealerships I go to Alto @ Pennant Hills and deal with John Kelly in the service department. He's been absolutely great to deal with with my M3 and always goes the extra yard to make sure your entirely happy. |

Ipod Quote and Bi-Xeon Lights
Went to Brisbane BMW today and was quoted AUD $850.00 for the installation of the iPod Integration Kit. Anybody know what other dealerships are charging?
Also, was thinking of upgrading my 320i to the bi-xeon lights, but was informed by Brisbane BMW that the retrofitting of the lights cannot be done as it is too complicated and therefore can only be done when the car was in production. Does anybody know about this and does anyone know which other places does the installation of BWM bi-xeon lights? |

This is an e-mail from Trivett at Parramatta
Maybe I need to shop around... Yes it is possible to upgrade your 335i to the iPod interface. To have the iPod interface installed including parts, 1 hour installation plus 1 ½ reprogramming will cost $926.35. We would require your 335i for most of the day. * The iPod interface allows the Apple iPod, iPod nano, iPod mini and iPod Photo to be connected to the car’s onboard radio system. An iPod can store up to 1000 standard music CDs and the music stored on the iPod can be played on the cars audio system. The interface also allows the iPod to be charged at the same time. By selecting genres, artists, albums or play lists, it is possible to access your entire music collection at any time. Depending on the equipment in the car, operation is via either the iDrive controller, the multi-function steering wheel or directly on the radio and all play lists, tracks or artists are displayed on the on-board monitor or the radio display. The added benefit of this new system is that the customer no longer needs to create five different play lists to enjoy their iPod. This new interface will display the contents of the iPod as it appears on the display. * The iPod interface supports the following functions * *********** - Playback of all tracks stored in the iPod - Operation of the iPod interface via iDrive controller, multi-function steering wheel or radio *********** - Track search by artist, album, play list or genre using the on-board monitor or radio display *********** - Pod cast playback *********** - SC/SCAN: Play the tracks in the current list for 10 seconds each *********** - RND/RANDOM: Random playback of all tracks stored in the iPod *********** - RPT/REPEAT: Repeat the current track *********** - Track jump: Jump to the next or previous track *********** - Fast forward *********** - Display of detailed information about the current track (artist and time index) *********** - Charging of the iPod battery * |

Actually dropped off my car at Trivett today, as I am travelling till next Wednesday, they have said the sunroof part arrives Monday so they will do the iPod installation after that and it should be ready for me when I return next Wednesday PM.
This is my 3rd BMW after a 330Ci and X5 (in the US) and the best so far. It is a MT Sapphire Black, Black leather, 19' 230 style wheels and every extra except the variable steering (not sure why anyone would want that), I like my music so hence the iPod option, better then lifting the centre console all the time to change songs. Looking forward to how it works |

Whatever you do don't get your Bimmer servied at BMW Sydney in Rushcetters Bay, they are the biggest rip offs on EARTH!! For a standard service i was quoted 1200AUD!!! Yes, like WTF!! So i called up ALTO BMW in Artarmon and got it done for 600AUD, so i hope no one else ever has to deal with the stooges at BMW Rushcutters Bay, as they will just rip you off!

Lol, you got a 335i right? And you don't want your pants pulled down when you get serviced , as it's a common thing in the trade.
