Cracking motor, looks like you got a super deal. With the FSH I wouldn't be worried, better than a low miler that's been left to stand, with years between service intervals.

Definitely a significant upgrade, you'll love the smoothness of that engine

I took the 330d from 80 to 160k, and the 530d for 80 to 135k. Something like that.

Both cars did start getting niggly and suspension did start to get on. I would honestly reckon the diesel money saved was destoryed by the repairs.

Will see what happens with this 330i.
Either I've been extremely lucky in 15 years or you've bought a couple of lemons. Suppose there's alot to be said for how you and previous drivers have used the car.

When I bought the bm I done my homework on here first and seen all the horror stories regarding turbo failure on the 320d. I took my car to a bm specialist in Glasgow for advice and he told me the failure rate isn't as high as people would think. If you trash any car hard the turbo will eventually go that's just life. He checked the bearings etc and its fine- if looked after it there's no reason for it to fail. Simple tips like doing fully synthetic oil changes every 10k or 12 mths, changing filters regularly, letting the car heat up and cool down after use etc. I've always followed these tips on high mileage cars and never had problems.

Are you going to LCi this one??
I was going to but i guess it will be harder finding a lci bumper with front park sensors and on the other hand the paintwork is really good on this for a 100k car which is why i think i will get it detailed rather than painted.
I looked at the stereo and it just says professinal but i did notice the speakers by the mirrors,i will jave a look for tweeters

Nice one Chris welcome to the six cylinder club where the roads are super-smooth compared to the cart tracks for the 4 pot soot chuckers!

Yup, always done oil and filter changes halfway through.
Always left the car for a few mins after parking up before turning off the car.

The m57n turbo was fine the m57 had the weaker turbo which ended up going.

They wern't lemons as I am ridiculously picky over the cars I purchase, I'm talking paint depth gauges etc.
