F30 in Australia (Pricing/Reviews/First Drives)

Pricing has been released!

320d - $60,900 - 135kw
328i - $66,900 - 180kw
335i - $91,900 - 225kw

Trim / Equipment options
320d
- Modern Line - $3100,
- Sport / Luxury Line - $4100

328i / 335i
- Modern Line - $1000,
- Sport / Luxury Line - $2000

All exclusive of on-roads etc...

But the pricing looks to be pretty sharp! 328i looks to be good value and possibly the pick of the bunch, but 335i for ~$100k sounds good as well.

328i seems like great value for money especially considering the reduction in trim cost. I wonder if the diesel comes out with any features the 328 doesn't come with.

Will they only have the 3 engine flavours?

That seems far too cheap? I'd seriously consider hoping into a 328i if it is genuinely only $67k +OR

Nah I don't think the 320d will have features the 328i doesn't.

With the 328i it comes standard with business nav and 9 speaker stereo but you will need to add xenons, sunroof etc... so probs 75-80k otr but yeh BMW have definitely sharpened their pencils in the face of strong competition.

I'd be keen to drive a 328i with the new turbo four banger... 350nm and an 8sp auto (standard) ain't bad either. Only thing is even though there is the 'sportline' pack I would still wait for Msport... then I'd much rather wait a bit longer for the coupe... then the msport coupe... then the LCI. Yeh I think I'll get the LCI F32 Msport coupe lol.

mmmm the prices sounded pretty sharp so the accountant in me thought I gotta do the math.

so lets look at the current E92 Msport, there are still a few variables and more info is needed but generally as follows

current e92 rrp 100k
f30 base 92 plus sport/luxary 2 (a guess) msport an extra 3??? = 97k

So while still pretty sharp nothing to get too excited about

Oh and dont forget the extras are still gonna run to 20k. So I'm not rushing anywhere atm. If you can drive one away for under 110k still reasonable imho

Those prices are def inclusive of gst...

But still, 325 and 335 are 8k cheaper rrp than their predecessors.

But then again definitely more gains to be had here than N52 and with strengthened internals we could possibly see 250-300kw at the crank.

Well I hope you chaps are right but when i see 'prices from' in promotional material from car companies i am doubtful

In any case I still think my numbers are realistic for an Msport

current model 100k
new model (est) 97k

Another article in drive: http://news.drive.com.au/drive/motor...222-1p6eu.html

And according to that one it looks like xenons are standard on the 328i (good!)

Drive also claims the 335i (F30) is 16k cheaper than the outgoing 335i Msport but that is rather misleading as you are comparing Msport to non Msport.
