thanks guys..50% front, 35% rear. about the rims. that was a long story. I ordered from Modbargins with about 1600USD (including tires, shipping and Tire Presure Monitor sensers $200). But acutally the senors might not needed on canadian models. anywayz, i asked them to ship to a friend address in seattle. Then i rent a mini van for a day to transport them to a self storage in Ferndale, small town exit 282 on hwy 5, rite across the border for 10 mints drive. After that, I drove my e92 to Ferndale to get the new rims installed in a local tireshop called TDS. (They are also the partner of tirerack), then left my factory rims in the self storage and carry one back each time as the spare tires in the trunk.

+1 on the famous last words...

i would suggest the body coloured amber reflector replacement. that will complement the ride for a clean look. relatively cheap too.

I've heard of stories where they take a picture of your car before you cross the border and that when you come back, they pull it out of some database or something. If they see you've installed new stuff to your car, they'll ding you really hard for it, possibly a penalty as well. They realize many people do this to avoid taxes. This is quite risky imo.

there are risks of course. Customs are not stupid. the best u can do is bring ur gf and do some shopping at bellingham mall. so they wont pay much attention to your "spare tire" in your trunk.
