I love it.
Been on it since 2pm when the post man turned up.. 6% of the way through... so many distractions while trying to do a mission its unreal.. Much better than 4. Off on a H&S course tomorrow so no more gaming for 3 days! Damnit!

Ok had a little play and its very fun already, the game starts off with plenty of action. The biggest let down though is the graphics. I think the graphics On the last gta are better but it may be because rockstar games have gone for the arcade approach. Hopefully the graphics will be better on the pc version as these are just shocking.

NO WAY is the last one better graphics. Plug 4 back in and have another look ...
If you're not sure, get a private dance from a strip club. Pretty damn good graphics if you ask me. I'm 6% through after 4 hours gaming, so looking at a solid 70 hours if not more as I'll go for 100% as always. Probably with repeating missions for perfect scores at least 100 hours life in this. Given I have about 5 hours a week max to play games usually this will therefore have me sorted till AT LEAST Christmas

I was just about to grab this, read the Eurogamer review who seems to like the things I like and get annoyed with the same things as well, they gave it a solid 9/10.
But then saw the Zelda: Wind Waker HD review and that is an unheard of 10 from them, so going to buy a Wii U and that instead. But keep the opinions up of this lads as it may go on my list. |

Well my opinion is that it's amazing. I however have always liked to get engrossed in a story.. The last of us was stunning, and I am a massive fan of the final fantasy games. So a good cut scene to tie together different facets of the game is an active boost for me.
Sounds like some of you have incredibly short attention spans! And this is from me!!!

Started playing it last night from like 12 till 4 in the morning! Does seem abit repetitive but its early on yet and from what ive read it says as you keep playing more activities etc become available e.g heists etc.. Seems ok so far..

Just done that. Seems easier to get away from the police. I like being able to take down helicopters without needing an RPG. On old GTAs, they were a right pain. Is there any in game way of knowing what the mission goals/ranks are on before starting? I can't be bothered replaying all of them because I didn't know I couldn't get a scratch on the car! |

Just reminder... Anyone with GTA5 on Xbox 360 should not install the play disc to the HDD. It causes a bottle neck that creates texture pop in (delayed render). For those wanting to work round noise issues with reading from the DVD drive, you can install the play disc to a 16GB USB stick with at least 15Mb/sec read.

Such an incredible game. How somebody could get bored is beyond me. The game is so free to do as you please. Quite simply a virtual world! Can't wait to get in tonight and get back on it! (although the missus may have a few issues with that)
Can't wait to steal a helicopter! |

Picked this up yesterday morning and was on it for the majority of the day. I think I can agree with some people who said they got bored within 15 minutes as after the first crash bang wallop start you are then stuck doing some pretty boring missions for the first hour or so which means the game has a distinct lull right at the start.
Very strange decision from Rockstar as it means it doesn't instantly grab you but I think they've tried to go for a bit more of slow burn approach and slower build up so I can sort of understand why they've done it BUT it's a risky move as it's not instantly gratifying and may put some people off. HOWEVER once you get past that lull, the game opens up immensely, especially when you get to the first heist and from there the game is mind blowing so I would really encourage people to persevere. Seriously I've just scratched the surface and I can already tell this game is going to be HUGE. |
