Which Airport Should I Use?

I need to head to Hyde Park, NY.
But due to hurricane Sandy, not sure exactly which airport to take?

I will be renting a car at the airport to drive to the final location in Hyde Park.

Advice on which airport and roads to avoid will be greatly appreciated!

All airports are open, but in general, Laguardia is the easiest in and out of. JFK might be easier with car rentals though.

Are you going to CIA? Stewart International Airport would be the closest, might be easier to get a connecting flight from Laguardia or JFK. Its probably an hour drive from Laguardia or JFK.

Stewart was a pain in the ass last time. No direct flight, and the planes allowed in that airport are like a size of a small bus! Uncomfortable as hell!

Seems like La Guardia doesn't have direct flight from LAX either.

Hmm...

EWR all the way.

Going from LGA or JFK is going to be annoying with traffic. Newark will start you right on the NJ Turnpike and from there its almost a straight shot up to the Thruway.

Again, no flights from LAX non-stop

If LGA and EWR are out of the question, do JFK and pick a late time to get in if you can to avoid traffic.
