I think Dinan has a Spring option for the 335 Xi....My guess is that it would work on the 328xi as well..

Even if you get springs, which may seem like an easier way, eventually you will have to replace your shocks. Stock shocks will be damaged faster. Since there are no shocks available yet for the xi, u might as well go with coilovers

Some people like the springs idea and some don't. One thing for sure is that the stock shocks will wear out faster than with oem springs. The lower the springs, the faster the wear on the shocks.

I am running h&R sport springs with stock shocks and it's ok for me. Most of the roads I drive on are generally smooth and clear of potholes. I have also switched to non-rft tires, which made a huge difference for me.

Coil overs would be the complete mode for suspension setup. However, coil overs do have there known issues as well. You can find endless topics on suspensions setups here on e90. Take a look at some of the topics in the "xi" section.

I know the AWD suspensions tend to crash hard (and make an awful noise) when they bottom out. Athough they sit 30mm higher than the cars with the sport suspension, they don't seem to have that much suspension travel. There is something odd with that suspesion that would make me heasitate to lower it much.
