Scammed by MVP17031 stay away from this guy

He had a set of coilovers f/s so i send a pm since i was interested. He respond back and we work out the price. I paypal him the money and ask him the next day for tracking. He rever resond to my PM. One week later he resond with "i'll refund u back ur money in three days". Its been three days already and two weeks since i paid this guy and still no refund. And still no coilovers. Everyone look out for this guy. I found out im the sec. person he did this to. Members do not buy anything from this guy and he should be banned from here.

Start your paypal claim ASAP.
OR

Call the local authorites to him. Provide your paypal receipt and the copy of the ad he sold them under. They may go pay him a visit for you. I had this done before^ to someone...it worked.

Nothing really hard here. Just find a cop that is willing to take the time to pay someone a visit for you.

If you have the sellers info/name from the paypal you can find out more. Find a pic of his car/plate number, find his facebook/myspace/google search/other forums & whatever you can dig up to identify him.

Get in the habit of copying and saving any forsale threads to a word file just in case the original seller deletes it.

Call his local authorities (if its a small town you will probably have better luck that a large inner city area). Be cool, Just tell him your looking to obtain the goods you paid for or to be issued a refund.

Explain how you cant do much from far away and someone that is not repsonsive to you. Provide proof of all attempted contact.

Tell them you understand that everyone is innocent till proven guilty, cause he is only hearing your side of the story. But you wouldnt be contacting him unless something was wrong...

Fax them all the info you have, tell them to look it over and call you once received.

Ask them to pay the person a visit/call them to hopefully expedite you purchase or possibly your refund. Alot of them will take it seriously, as it is an internet crime and they take it pretty serious these days.

This is kind of cliff notes of a situation I had a few years back on vwvortex. The officer visited the guy and the guy never had the item he was selling at all. He was arrested, not because of me, due to an outstanding warrant LOL karma's a bitch. His family ended up sending me a refund overnight to avoid any other charges. It worked very well and the PA state police were excellent guys to work with.

today is monday and still no refund. I open a dispute already but it takes a while with paypal. I might have to get the cops involve.
