Somebody help me out... are these different (quality) than the speakers that come with the base (6 speaker/no amp) system? And will they fit in my doors with no issues?

Yes, they are different. Yes, they will fit but you will need to buy the OEM tweeter mounts (pods) to install the tweeters.
